Panasonic Lumix TS1: Sample Video

May 22, 2009

Watch the video

The Panasonic Lumix TS1 records video in the AVCHD Lite format. This is a newer format that isn’t supported by many video editing programs at this time. I tried a number of them including iMovie 09 and Roxio Creator 2009. I also tried converting the AVCHD Lite file with VoltaicHD. Nothing worked until I used Handbrake. So here’s the unedited footage from the Panasonic Lumix TS1.

  1. I have the same camera. I also used handbrake to convert the movies which seemed to work, but once I put them into an imovie event, imovie doesn’t seem to work properly. It gets incredibly slow and doesn’t “scrub” normally through the video. did you have that problem too?

    thanks!

  3. How do you use Handbrake to convert the files?

  4. You open Handbrake, choose a source file, and then select your output options.

  5. Got it. I was using an old version of Handbrake. 9.3 works. Thanks!

  6. This camera is waterproof, have you tried it underwater? I would really appreciate a nice video like the one in this post… underwater
